Fix MIUI 11 killing Google Podcasts & all other background apps

To stop MIUI 11 from killing your background apps, follow these steps:

Setting -> Passwords & security -> Privacy -> Special app access -> Battery optimization

Set these to “Don’t optimize”

Google Play Store

Google Podcasts

Google

Then, lock Google Podcasts app.

To do this, press Menu button, press and hold the app until this menu pop-up, then click on the lock icon.
