I usually update contact on my iphone and sync it with outlook.
Recently, newer contacts were not synced to outlook. Instead, the old contact from outlook replaced all my updated contact.
Just found a solution to this problem, Reset Sync History
- Open iTunes.
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click the Devices tab.
- Click the Reset Sync History button.
The contact sync problem is now gone.
PS. Do not use iPhone as phone categories as Outlook won’t recognize it and won’t keep record of that number. Instead, use “Home” or “Business” or “Mobile” or “Other”
