Messaging App for iOS

Had troubles with delay msg and not getting notified of new msg.

Came across this site:

It gives pretty insightful reviews from a real hands-on experience.

PingChat! is one of the fastest growing msg app on iOS. No wonder why msg got delayed sometimes.

Beluga, found by ex-googlers, is pretty good. However, after Facebook acquired it, it became FB msging app. Not so open anymore.

Kik is growing fast. But due to some bugs and limitations on features, it is not as popular as PingChat.

LiveProfile, I have tried it a few times. The msg sent/received was fast. But it requires ppl to remember PIN instead of user name, that makes it a bit hard to add friend. Features are sufficient for casual usage, but not as good as Pingchat.

Whatsapp is very fast and reliable of all reviewed. It auto-detects phone numbers from contact list and create Whatsapp user lists for u automatically. However, the app costs u 99 cents a pop, while the rest are free of charge. The other downside is that they no longer support ipod touch and ipad, only iphone supported.

The pick?

Whatsapp.

Fast and reliable msging is the key.
